In 2014, the Union of Belgian Krankenkassen (RIZIV) will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a special event on “National Implementation of Innovations in Integrated Care”. As an invitation-only event for the benefit of RIZIV and its members, the meeting will bring together policy makers, key decision makers and academics from Belgium, Germany, France, The Netherlands, Spain, and the United Kingdom to debate how the care system in Belgium may need to adapt if innovations in integrated care are to be encouraged. The event will specifically outline and debate the key proposals contained in the interministerial Belgian strategic plan for implementing health care innovations for chronic diseases. The event is being organised in association with the International Foundation for Integrate Care who are holding their 14th Annual International Conference on Integrated Care at the Diamant Conference Centre, Brussels on 2-4 April 2014.
