The company
Our commitment: Health for everyone.
Too often, people fall through the cracks of a failing healthcare system – and costly interventions are needed to rescue them. But what if we focused on repairing the system instead? Preventing suffering and reducing costs – that’s the mission we take on: developing and implementing holistic concepts from start to finish.
Who we are
Founded in 2003, OptiMedis is now one of the market leaders in the development and implementation of innovative forms of healthcare. We come from the fields of health sciences, economics, medicine and nursing, IT, sociology and many other areas – as a team we bring together different perspectives on the healthcare system and develop innovative and feasible concepts. We are united by the desire to create fairer, more efficient and better healthcare and at the same time promote the development of society as a whole.
What we do
We work to create better health for everyone. To us, this means ensuring equal access to health – whether someone lives in a city or a rural area, and regardless of their social background. That’s why we develop evidence-based care structures and interventions that enable people in every region to live as healthy a life as possible – while also easing the burden on healthcare providers. Our work includes tailored prevention programs, health promotion, targeted care management, stakeholder networking, and new (digital) solutions. Every concept we develop is based on data and grounded in scientific evidence. We are partners in numerous EU and Innovation Fund projects and maintain strong networks in healthcare, research, and policymaking.
Who we work with
Our customers come from a wide variety of sectors: Health insurance companies, local authorities, ministries, universities, associations, industry, hospitals and many more. In our projects, we rely on close cooperation with stakeholders in regional networks, research institutions and associations. Thanks to our strong political network and our international research and innovation fund projects, we also work hand in hand with experts from all over the world.
What makes us different
We combine economic thinking with a strong focus on the common good – and aim to help solve urgent societal challenges. Our innovative financing model shifts the incentives in the healthcare system: Instead of paying for the volume of services provided, we reward the value and outcomes achieved. This creates motivation for all stakeholders to improve population health and strengthen people’s health literacy.
