Data analytics

The potential of health and care data is huge: by analyzing it, linking it together, reflecting it back into practice and developing new concepts based on it, we can make care better and more efficient. Join us in working towards a healthcare system in which the outcome counts.

Analyze data, unlock potential

Which patient groups benefit from new digital solutions, and how are these solutions used in everyday healthcare? What is the potential impact of planned measures and healthcare interventions? How likely are new forms of care and technologies to result in cost savings and improved healthcare outcomes?
These are just some of the questions we answer through our analyses of medical and nursing care – using, for example, routine health insurance data or outpatient clinical data. We present the results in a clear, visual format. They serve as a foundation for developing service delivery concepts in health promotion, prevention, and care – or for informing health policy decisions.

We have over 15 years of experience in analyzing data from the healthcare system. For our healthcare regions we evaluate healthcare outcomes and contribute to the ongoing development of regional healthcare. In addition to descriptive analyses (“What has happened and what is happening now?”), we also provide predictive analyses (“What is likely to happen and why?”) to identify patterns and generate forecasts.

Routine health insurance data – use our data warehouse

We also make our data warehouse available for external use, for example, to universities or clinical institutions that require access to well-structured routine health insurance data for their healthcare research. Read more in our brochure (German).

Services

Supply requirements & structures

We analyze and evaluate health and care data across different areas of the healthcare system and link them meaningfully. Based on these insights, we develop recommendations for better and more efficient healthcare solutions – in close consultation with you.

Analysis of ambulatory care sensitive conditions

Many hospital admissions could be avoided through timely and effective outpatient care. We provide comprehensive analyses of these so-called ambulatory care sensitive conditions.

Analysis of nursing home sensitive conditions

We analyze the diagnoses with which nursing home residents are most frequently admitted and which of the admissions could also have been treated on an outpatient basis. In addition to the pure case numbers of PSC diagnoses, we can also calculate other key figures, depending on the data source.

Questionnaire development – from concept to implementation

From small employee surveys to complex Delphi studies: we transform your questionnaire templates into ready-to-use online surveys – quickly, reliably, and in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including secure web hosting.

Evaluation of data in accordance with § 21 KHENTGG

Among other things, we evaluate the risk potential due to outpatient treatment, bed occupancy, catchment areas or the use of the emergency department. You can filter our analyses interactively according to various criteria, for example by location, ICD code, specialist department, age or place of residence.

Routine data analyses

Our potential analyses cover a wide range of evaluations for defined subpopulations – including key performance indicators, costs, referrals, contribution margins, hospital stays (with duration and costs), comorbidities, and medication prescriptions.

Forta

FORTA helps identify the right medication for insured populations. By analyzing medication use in older patients, we can detect both overuse and underuse – and thus improve pharmaceutical care.

Docpit
