The Challenges

Challenge 1: Revolutionary Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS)

Clinical decision support systems (CDSS) have the potential to become a new cornerstone of modern healthcare. In addition to evidence-based recommendations, they can simplify and accelerate the decisions of healthcare professionals by providing clear information. However, medicine is constantly evolving with new research, treatment guidelines and technological innovations. To ensure that patients receive the best possible care, it is vital that clinical decision support systems are enhanced with artificial intelligence, or machine learning, to continuously update and incorporate the latest medical evidence.

„How can we use AI and machine learning to create a CDSS that seamlessly integrates the latest medical research, guidelines and breakthroughs? What strategies can we use to ensure that the CDSS is not only up to date, but that these updates are effectively communicated to healthcare professionals?

Challenge 2: Seamless Integration of the ADLIFE Platform

Seamless integration of the ADLIFE toolbox into existing EHRs and healthcare workflows is one of the key challenges for the success of the ADLIFE project. The effectiveness and usability of the ADLIFE platform is highly dependent on its ability to integrate seamlessly with existing systems already used by healthcare professionals and institutions. Integrating the platform with existing healthcare systems ensures that services can be easily accessed and used, resulting in improved patient care, streamlined workflows and optimized healthcare processes.

ADLIFE, a project supported by the EU’s Horizon 2020 initiative, focuses on innovative digital interventions to improve the well-being of elderly patients with chronic diseases. The digital health platform enables personalized care plans and clinical decision support services. We believe that only through creative ideas and collective expertise can technological innovation in healthcare become a reality.

Who we are looking for

We welcome students and young professionals from diverse backgrounds, including computer science, medical informatics, digital health, medical process management, and data science. While experience in these fields is a plus, it is not a strict requirement. We encourage anyone with a passion for healthcare and technology to join us.
