Three-day intensive master class „Making accountable care happen“, 10-12 October, London

Accountable care is increasingly recognised as one way forward for healthcare organisations that are faced with a need to deliver high quality services while ensuring resources are wisely targeted. Following a successful series of courses with NHS, local government and patient representative attendees across London to learn about and develop tools to enable the development of accountable care systems, we have developed a course specifically for individuals, teams and organisations that have an interest in and are working towards development of accountable care systems. This programme will help healthcare leaders build sustainable models, encourage culture change, and support adoption of innovation in the NHS.

A course for individuals, teams and organisations that have an interest in and are working towards development of accountable care systems. This includes patient representatives, clinical teams, finance teams, information teams and other management functions that make up the health and care sector. It is intended for individuals and teams who would like to tackle real issues during their own journey toward a more accountable care system.

What you will achieve on this course

A three day residential course covering four themes throughout.

  • Clarify what an accountable care system is using evidence and real examples from people doing it right now, and will drill into what it takes to create and run them
  • Participants will build a network as part of a “Community of Practice” to build toward a sustained culture shift of accountable care
  • Work through actual challenges and use accountable care or outcomes based approach to develop and implement these solutions back in the workplace
  • Participants will understand how to develop, implement or adapt accountable care or outcomes based solutions, thus perpetuating its continued development
